How to remove yoghurt stains

Yoghurt can be a complicated stain to remove. It’s a combination stain, which means a part of the yoghurt stain comes from the yoghurt itself which is a protein stain. It’s not dissimilar to other dairy stains, but yoghurt can also contain different kind of stains, like fruit or additional ingredients that have been added to give the yoghurt its yummy flavour. To remove protein-based stains, like those caused by yoghurt, you’ll want a washing detergent with enzymes, like those in Ariel, for optimal yoghurt stain removal. It’s best if you treat the stain when fresh, as this is when it’s the easiest to remove (and less stinky). See our Ariel stain solutions and tips to find out more about how to remove yoghurt stains.
